Born in 1994, Olivier Cong spent his formative years studying psychology before pursuing music and performing arts, motivated by human behavioural studies and cognitive psychology.
He formed Raven & The Sea Music in 2017 as a powerhouse for his music performances—a hybrid form of experimental theatre, performance art, digital media and music installation.
In 2018, Cong became the first musician to land on Apple Music’s New Artist Spotlight in Hong Kong. His first solo concert, “Through the Window I See No Star”, was held in St. Andrews Church. In 2021, Cong presented his second solo concert, “I am afraid of”, at West Kowloon Cultural District, fusing art, performance, videography and aromatic immersion.
Over the years, Cong has collaborated with Hong Kong Ballet, Shanghai Opera House, and Chung Ying Theatre Company, as music director and composer. In 2020, he wrote his first film score for an upcoming film by Beijing director Tian Zhuangzhuang.
